I agree with the idea of placing the tank up near the bore and burying the water main. This will result in better water flow whrn the pump is not running due to the increased head.
The market positions seems ok but I am wondering whether the carfree area should be made larger. Although that peninsula is quite large, it would seem desirable to enlarge the carfree area by including the area designated for the market. Perhaps info/workers could be moved further south to the southern edge of the designated market area.

A The first Wangarratta confest we used a trench
digger
The type Telstra uses for putting lines under gravel
roadways in country areas.
Portable and easily driven and handled by one person.
How deep do u wish to trench the water pipe?

Thanks for the aerial picture. Useful....YES very.
You havent marked north but I guess that the north boundary is the right
edge of the screen.
Would it be posible to have a A4 size grid map with some of the physical
features on it so
that we can go / sent people to the right place for work / well being /
emergency /
co- ordination etc.
When ever we have had these sheets information has flowed more smoothly and
there has been less frustration.
Is the road that is marked in brown already there?
If it is to be put in it should be as direct as possible and NOT meander all
over the place like a drunk. The route needs to be chosen carefully as once
its in thats IT, no more roads east-west. Why not run it down close to the
boundary line and use it as a fire break, 2 uses for 1 road. The road at
Murphys was a discrace. All that additional bush trashed and fuel wasted
for no sensible reason.
The brown road appears to end no where. It would be better to continue on
south (it looks possible on the pic) and join the existing road? that runs
along the south boundary. Joining them up will give the potential for
traffic circulation, 2 evacuation routes in an emergency (eg. fire), 2
exits if it rains and soil turns to mush, alternate access for emergency
vehicles,
There appears to be a road on the south side already. What is this to be
used for?
The proposed route for the 2" main appears to cut straght through the bush.
Am I correct in assuming that the proposal is to have 3 scars through the
bush almost 2 kilometers long running east -west . Current road, proposed
road and water pipe route, which will become a defacto road if a tractor or
ditch witch is to be used to put the pipe in and traffic for follow up
maintenance.
If this is so would it not be a lot kinder to the bush to have the pipe
follow the brown road.
Thats 3 uses for the one dead zone through the bush.
Roads to the proposed market / info / first aid / workers are not shown.
How is it proposed to contain / restrain the vehicles in the car free
parking? I assume that it will be double windrows. If that is the case the
road to Info etc can run beside the windrow for most of its length.
I suppose that we are in for the usual stuff from market people who want to
drive all over the place.
Why is the market area so large? I thought that the market was being
trimed.
Thats all for now.

I think we should use a Ditch Witch for the water pipe. The one shown in the photos looks slow and cumbersome ( the modern one ) . If we have to hire the Proper Ditch Witch then I think it will be well worth it.
We could also drop into the ditch some heavy duty Telephone wire and perhaps some Belden which can be used for an Intercom between Front Gate and Workers' Kitchen / First aid etc. We could also link up Welcome.

Yes, grateful for the info.
Any proposals re placement of massage area?
Also, in the long term how do we manage the site to avoid it looking like a
bomb hit it after a few festivals? One major problem is the sullpy of firewood.
If we use the local scrap wood we will alter the present balance by removing
the habitat for microfauna. If we get wood in from elsewhere (at greater
expense) we shift the problem to another location.
